GPL and TM Nas Pro

Hi John,
I've got a TM Pro, but I don't have that problem. My problem with it is
when I calibrate the pedals with a separate axis the accelerator
calibration is bad. The dot just jumps around and driving is impossible.

I've had to calibrate with combined pedals.
BTW I have a SB Value, I still get staticky sounds though.

If you have Win95, try using Thrustmaster's ProPanel to configure and
calibrate your wheel in Windows.  Unless there is a short in the switch
(for changing between separate and combined), there shouldn't be any
difference in the calibration between the two.

Here is the URL for ProPanel:
ftp://208.129.210.78/pub/library/calibration/propanelv11.exe

Check and make sure you have the latest drivers for your soundcard
installed.  http://www.soundblaster.com/

% I have a similar problem. When calibrating in Propanel as separate
% pedals the brake pedal affects the accelerator, I can never get a clean
% calibration. Combined works great.

% However, in GPL I've got it set up as generic with seperate pedals and
% it's working fine, no steering problems whatsoever. Wierd.

It sounds like gameport problems, which actually may be tied to the
speed of your computer.  I have an ACM card and I need to de-tune the
card's speed to keep the gas pedal from making the brake move during
calibration (this is in separate axes).

If you are using the generic driver in GPL, it bypasses the Windows
setup entirely.  You could even delete your wheel in the Game
Controllers and still be able to use the generic input in GPL.

But, I'm glad to hear you got it working and that I have a new member in
the "I still suck in GPL" club. <G>  Welcome!!!  As it seems that the
club is losing members as some of them seem to be getting better. ;-)
