HELP NEEDED WITH NASCAR!!

Hi everyone!
Me being a motor-sport fan, I've had IndyCar Racing for a long time,
and boy is it great. One thing worthy of mention is the absolutely
amazing manual which comes with it; it answers all the questions that you
might need, and gives a lot of detail about each facet of the tracks, how
to drive and set up the cars for each etc.
Recently, I bought Nascar Racing, and immediately I've had problems.
Perhaps it's because I bought an OEM (budget) version, but the manual is
totally shite, and is about 20-30 pages long. It tells you virtually
nothing at all, and there are no track diagrams (esp. important for
Watkins Glen!), no tips on tackling each circuit, and not a lot of detail
on things like the spoilers and weights etc.
Is there a better manual out there? What does the cross-weight do?
Also, i've realised that I've had to ditch my driving style completely
from Indycar to play this. The only circuit I'm any good at is Talledega.
On Watkins Glen the car is way too loose, and on every other circuit it
pushes like hell! I'm using a good analog joystick so that's no problem.
I'd appreciate any help on driving style and setting up the car.
Finally, apart from Talladega, which other circuits can I take flat out?
Thanks!
