Hi Chaps I've got both of these titles, but they don't seem to be working
properly nowadays. It seems that the bikes are hitting invisible barriers on
the track, with both the bike and rider getting launched hundreds of feet in
the air, even at slow speeds!

Has anyone encountered this before?

My set up is a 1Ghz Athlon 512Mb RAM  GEForce-3 and SB-Live.

Cheers!

LOL, barriers? launched hundreds of feet in the air? could the word Athlon
have anything to do with it?

SBK2000/2001 works fine on my Intel Pentium II 500 with a Abit Intel chipset
motherboard.

SB2001 works fine on my other Intel Pentium III 866 with a ASUS Intel
chipset motherboard.

Sorry if this doesn't help much, but I just had to get my two cents worth in
this Intel/Athlon battle.

Funny you don't see many "This game locksup/nosound on my Intel Pentium
computer" posts.

Can you say Compatibility?      he he..........sorry again.

Central Florida USA for 9 dollars and some change. Plus of course the 6%
Sales Tax.

I'm pretty sure it's not the processor as it used to work on my system. The
only change has been the fact that I have just done a fresh instalation of
Win98SE. I guess it might be a driver problem? of some sort?

Make sure that you have the latest chipset drivers correctly loaded.

I would also suggest an upgrade to Windows Millennium, which is IMO the
final patch for Windows 98.

Also check your Bio's setting's/update for your motherboard.

I have both SBK 200 & 2001 and they run great on my Athlon here.

I doubt if that is the problem.

FWIW, GP3 would never run properly on my Celeron 400 with Abit Intel
chipset mobo...until I replaced it with a 1 ghz Athlon :D
