GPL problem

Hope someone can help me as i dont know what to do next. I had a couple of
problems with graphics last night the first one being in D3D i only got a
small portion of the screen show up this being a small block in the top left
corner. I tried using open gl instead but eerytime i came of from driving
back into menus it was all flickery. So myself and my boy between us tried
sorting it out by playing about with the opengl and d3d files. I gave up in
the end and left my boy tinkering. but on trying again this morning i cant
seem to do anything now. My problem now is in D3D i just get the windows has
encounted a problem error and on opengl my frame rate has dropped to about
4? I have a radeon 9000 card on an ahtlon 2400 if this is any help.

thanks in advance

Was GPL working with that video card previously?   Most likely a driver
change confused the rend.d3d information and the rend.ogl info.   Your
best bet would be to upload your driver stats to gplrank, back up all
your track data and the un-install GPL.   Then starting from scratch make
sure you have the various patches for GPL.   THere is a superpatch that
combines most of the code updates in one tidy install, hopefully somebody
here can post a link.
(the reason you upload your driver file to gplrank, is that when you get
your install fixed, you can download the same file from gplrank and then
you won't lose all your driver stats)

I had same problem when I went to newest drivers.  I use Omega deivers on
radeon 9200.  ver 2.5.44 was fine,  ver 2.5.51 caused problems.  I dont
remember off hand what ATI ver these are equivelent to.  went back to omega
2.5.44 all well again.  Hope it helps
