Ok, here is the dish.

I downloaded all 40 GPL zips from a Warez site....but what do I do
with them? Do I need the demo installed on it? Some instructions would
be greatly appreciated...

I spent two days downloading it and I want to play...so please help...

Em guys - you can't go into a courtroom and say "I know this *** is
illegal, but I'm gonna buy it as soom as it gets legalised so it's
okay". You'll be jailed.

Do you think software piracy is any different? Admitting, in public,
to having illegal software is not real smart, and even if you're going
to buy it later that doesn't make it legal now.

No morals on the subject, just a little advice.

Cheers!
John

99.9999% of us won't help you just because it's illegal.  You really know
what I-L-L-E-G-A-L means ?? It's probably the lowest thing you can do in
your life (I know... I had some legal problems back 2years ago).

Wait a couple more and you will really be hyped with the full product.

Hmm.. let's see.  First you drag them to the recycling bin and then you
wait until your friendly neighborhood software store gets their copies
of the finished GPL at which point you purchase one.

Sounds easy enough to me. =)

You download them. Then the first zip has instructions in the trps98.nfo
file. It is illegal, and its no way to show your appreciation for the
hardwork the guys at papyrus and sierra have put into the game. Also why do
you want to play something that isnt finished? Its not long to wait now, if
you've waited almost a year, im sure you can wait a few weeks.

I'm not sure this is right, so don't blame me if it doesn't produce the
intended results.  Hit Start->Programs->MS-DOS prompt.  Either a window
will pop up, or your screen will go black, and it will have something like
C:\> at the bottom.
At this prompt, type "format c:" (without the quotes), and press return.
It'll probably give you some dire warnings about this doing something
irreversible to your system.  This is ok.  You'll see it count up as it
works.  When it's done, it'll ask you for a volume label.  Enter "I'm a
thief" (without the quotes) and press return.  Presto!  That should take
care of things nicely!

If you don't approve of d/l'ing the warez, how do you know what's in the zip
file, Francois?

...just wondering...

You know guys, while I break some laws myself (but you can't prove
it), I don't really understand how everyone is always so 'holier than
thou' when it comes to playing illegal warez.  Perhaps all of you are
perfect and have never broken a law?!?  In my job I develop software,
and you just have to accept that there will be some piracy, but
everyone in this group really lays on the moralizing whenever anyone
mentions anything about it.  Maybe I'm wrong and everyone here always
does "The Right Thing", but somehow I doubt it.

Actually, I'd feel like an idiot not buying the finished version. I would have no
manual, but most of all I would be doing nothing to support my hobby. Rule - if you put
nothing in, you'll get nothing out, eventually at least. This is one well I certainly
don't want drying up ie sim racing in general and Papy in particular.
