GPL resolution problems........Please help!!!

by Ruud » Tue, 15 Jun 1999 04:00:00

Hi!
I've got a question i would like some answers to,.if that's possible??
The problem is that i can't run GPL in any higher resolution then 640x480 even with the
use of OpenGl (the OpenGL beta2 patch from "The Fast lane"),...i can't figure it out maybe
someone can help me?
I'm using the OpenGl because i had some problems running GPL in the 3Dfx mode (with Voodoo1!)i was
getting flickering bitmap textures on the black space above the screen and in the game menu's,so
i deceided to run the game in OpenGL.
But now i can't seem to change the resolution above 640x480,trying to change the resolution results
in a small gameview in the upperleft part of my monitor,....what am i'm doing wrong???
Here a some spec of my system:
PII 350
Viper 550
128 MB Sdram
With all the latest drivers installed (should i use the NVidia or the Diamond drivers for the Viper 550?)
Now with that specs i should be able to run in 800x600 at least with a decent frame rate,...don't you think??
