gpl 1.2 patch installation problem--please help!

My harddrive crashed, so I am reinstalling GPL.  Now I'm ready to patch it to
1.2, but I get the error message "could not initialize installation (crc)".
Does anybody know what to do about this?

Try to download the patch again... a crc error means it mostly likely got
damaged during the transfer to your pc from the net...
