Nascar Heat only supports D3D. Did you remove all traces of 3DFX drivers
from the system folder and registry before installing the GF2 card? Did you
reinstall Directx afterwards too? Uninstall all video drivers and boot to
safe mode or switch video adapter to generic svga, delete all glide, ogl.dll
and any reference to voodoo files, do the same in the registry. Now
reinstall the video drivers for the GF2, then install directx8.0a or 8.1.
Try Nascar Heat again. One other thing, the GF2 cards have a higher power
requirerement than the Voodoo3 so that is a possible cause of the problem
too. Do all your other games run ok?

I switched to a Radeon 8500 from Voodoo 3 and I merely uninstalled the
voodoo3 from "add and Remove Programs" Mine runs ok however I have a very
low Polygon rate in the benchmark screen, (1473ktris). Could this be that I
was unable to eliminate all the 3dfx drivers?

That would be my guess.

I had that low polygon rate too in NH (I have 8500) and the fix was to
increase my AGP aperature to 128mb in the bios. I was getting weird graphics
glitches in some games too until I upped the aperature to 128mb. ATI is
aware of this problem and the fix is as I said above.
