Howdy,

Was wondering - What is the difference between a D3D game & one that
supports 3DFX directly?

Will the game that supports the card "natively" be faster than the D3D
one?

Its simply a matter of which API the game was written for (the native Glide
for the 3Dfx cards or the more generic OpenGL and Direct3D).  Most of the
time a native port would be faster and better, but sometimes this is not the
case.  Brian Hook of id Software has said on numerous occasions that a Glide
port of Quake wouldn't have any advantage over their current OpenGL port,
hence the reason their isn't one.
