Ditto Rob....I've been running an Aureal OEM A3d 2.0 card for about two
years now with no compatibility problems. (and thats on two differnt
motherboards, with two different brands of cpus.)

I don't have anything against Aureal (I also have a MX300 that's still
running strong). They were better at surround sound than the early SBL!s,
but they enjoy less (3rd party) support than EAX...and no new drivers at
all. The main thing always seems to be to avoid sharing an IRQ w. the AGP
slot. But, like I say, I think the CPU's a little long in the tooth.

Open the app.ini file and look for a [ Communications ] section. If
there isn't one, create it and paste the rest in so you have the
following:
[ Communications ]
disableDirectConnect = 0 ; Disable Direct
Connect
The only adverse effect of this is that 2 computers wont be able to
race via serial cable.
