I haven't tried it with a game pad, but with
all the driving aids included, it should work
just fine.

Of course it is playable, so is it also on a keyboard.

If you are into driving games, you have to get a wheel.  ACT LABS is
the best!

I have a Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad and it really sucks with F1-2000. A
game like this should be played with a wheel, nothing else. It's almost
impossible to keep your car on the track, even (or especially?) on the
straights. I'll be buying a MS FF wheel soon....

I have a MS Sidewinder game pad too and, after had some problems in the
beginning (the steering was too sensitive) i resolv it with the options menu
and now, it is absolutely playable and fun to drive.

You don't HAVE to get a wheel.  Obviously, since a few of the really fast
drivers(on any game) use joysticks...<g>
