I have N2 ...... why should I buy N3  ... is there a significant difference
in the "racing" (not the graphics & audio)

   Well, you can do it online over the internet for free, for one
thing.

"But in a way, fear is a big part of racing, because if there was
nothing to be frightened of, and no limit, any fool could get into
a motor car and racing would not exist as a sport." -- Jim Clark

Not a "significant difference", but something is a little bit improved
(rolling, for example).
However I too had N2, and the reason that convinced me on purchasing N3 was
the number of opponents (42) and of tracks (28), now completely redesigned;
native 3Dfx support; W95-98 (and not DOS) environment; enhanced graphics,
etc.

    Cranking the video up to 1024X768 and ALL the graphics options on makes
for some of the most immersive racing I can imagine!!!!! 'Course, support
for WinModems, transparent smoke, new setup options, 43-car field, FREE
ONLINE.... the list goes on forever....

For me it was (graphics and audio and) the possibility to use my MS
Wheel (not going with N2) and the support of FF, what in my opinion is
very good. Okay, it would go on N99, too, but why not buy the newer?
