Indycar2 and Matrox Millenium Crashes. any solutions????!!!!!!!

by Neville Walke » Sun, 21 Jul 1996 04:00:00

I am experiencing intermittent crashes of ICR2 ind DOS mode under WIN95
as similar to someone elses previous post in this subject.

I get the bottom half of my screen fille with dos text containing
amongst other things " crash address (unrelocated) " and a bunch of
other numbers.

If I type Indycar -h then the game will restart, only to crash again at
a later time.

I have re-installed ICR2 from DOS as previously suggested and applied
the icr2 patch to no avail.

This is most frustrating as this is my favorite game (until GP2 is
released in the States, that is), Please help.

Thanks in advance,
                        Nev

Make sure you are running ICR2 with the UNIVBE support uninstalled.
Yes I said uninstalled, run setup in the ICR2 dir and uninstall the UNIVBE
driver.

The Matrox Millenium has faster VESA support than the UNIVBE driver and I
think that driver is what is causing your problems.

ICR2 runs fine for me with the Matrox Millenium, very fast too ~26fps, on
my P166.

Cheers.
