How do I convert 'normal' ICR2 into Rendition ICR2?

I have a 3D Blaster and obviously Creative Labs sucks
the collective***. I can get a really cheap version
of ICR2 in the jewel case. Please tell me what I have
to d/l to get it run fast and pretty (ie. with 16-bit
textures). I have a P225MMX o/c and the above-mentioned
card. After loving both ICR1 and Nascar I lost the plot...

I'm not sure about ICR2, but N2 is Rendition Ready right out of the box.  When
it installs, it adds another shortcut to N2Rend.exe or something like that.  I
assume ICR2 is the same way.

You can't get any of the extras, but you can get the accelleration.
Download the patch (I think it's a cyrix bug fix or something) from
http://www.racesimcentral.net/ and that'll give you what you need.

Hi Tony,

You can download the Rendition patch either from the sierra ftp
site <ftp://ftp.sierra.com/pub/patches/pc/icr2rend.zip>, or from
The Sim Project (Patch section) at <www.simproject.com>.

There are a few patches for the tracks to convert to the 16-bit
graphics, and these can be found in and around the 'net.  Else,
you can wait a few days for TSP's 3DKits, available from the
TSP address above.

Cheers!

Marc
