Except for the know bugs,(wich soon will be fixed with *the patch*.
Will there be smoother frame rates etc. ???.
What it all boils down to is the question : Is there any reason to
purchase the win 95 ver. when i allready got the dos ver. ???

: "The patch" is a DOS-only patch. It brings the DOS version up to date
: with the DOS version in the retail package you saw (that package has
: DOS Win 95 & Mac on 1 CD). It (the patch) does not change the DOS
: version to Win 95.

And since you bought the DOS version, you don't have to buy the
Windows 95 version. You'll be able to download a "patch" for that as
well.

I am very dissapointed by this news. I thought the Win95 stuff would
sort of make up for the crazy amount of time we've waited for the
seemingly minor work needed to fix the major bugs ICR2 has.
I'm hoping Ed just had a misunderstanding about the patch. Otherwise,
I feel a bit cheated. I guess there are indeed a bunch of owners who
would go out and buy it again, but I doubt most will, and these
people ( those who bought the original ICR2) are in fact the core
supporters of Papyrus' Indycar products, as I see it. Why not just add
the win95 stuff for these people. Like Rick said.
Here's a suggestion - demand that Papyrus take back your DOS Version in
exchange for the Win95 Version - they shouldn't mind considering the Win95
Version is cheaper than the DOS Version. As a matter of fact we should ALL
SEND OUR COPIES TO PAPYRUS AND DEMAND AN EXCHANGE FOR THE WIN95 VERSION.
It only seems FAIR...
