Heartbreaking :-(

Really feel sorry for the guy although well done that marshal with the arm
around the shoulder.

Cheer up Mika, Irvine isn't in the chase - what has happened to Ferrari ?,
you're only worry may be Heinz-Harold who's flying in the Jordan.

idav

ps. no worries/problems regarding GP3, Crammond knows his stuff although I
was a bit surprised to see an advert in this month's Edge magazine wanting
programmers and artists for F1 sims at Microprose/Hasbro.Maybe they're being
brought in to polish up the game quicker....

pss. downloaded a c64/amiga emulator the other night and spent hours playing
Revs and Stunt car racer...aaahhhh nostalgia.

psss: Did Crammond write "The Sentinel" for the spectrum ?. You know that
weird game where you had to get to the top of a mountain without being seen
by the Sentinel, I remember you had to morph into tree's and such like, you
won the game by getting higher than the sentinel and absorbing him/her/it.

pssss(again). I've no worries about Gp3's handling and graphics but I hope
he includes/corrects little things such as a realistic pit-stop time when
you***up and break a wing or something - I mean really, 9 secs to change
a f-wing.

Jeff Crammond did write "The Sentinel". It was released on a C64 as well
(loved it) and you can now get it 3d-enhanced for a PC too :-)

Revs was the start of the whole sim gendre ... loved it (played it with the
keyboard 'till I dropped). Stunt Car racer was brilliant too.

David Mocnay

He's a wuss!
Jim Clark wouldn't have whimpered.  Neither would have Gurney, Brabham,
Hulme, Amon, Hill (the proper one)........etcetera.  They would've turned
the air blue then had a beer!

Reminds me of Senna at Monaco in 1998. He crashed out while nearly a minute
up on Prost. His tears were not public ones although it is reported that he
went back to his appartment and openly bawled out.
He was not seen until the next day

Yes, too much money in the sports these days. They don't take one single chance out
on the track (Coulthard must be the most obvious example), and when they do one
unforced error, they're devastated... The walk back to the pit and your angry team
boss must be terrible...

Hello Fredrik,

Ahhh nostalgia..

There are loads of emulators for different computersor consoles on the net
try:

http://davesclassics.warzone.com

or

www.zophar.net

or

www.emuhq.com

Just go to the relevant section - say c64 and get the relevant information
and emulators, remember you may need additional files as well so make sure
you get everything :-)

Once you get the emulator you have to then find the games, my favourite site
is:

for c64 - http://www.emucamp.com/c64/

and for amiga sites go to www.zophar.net  links page and scroll down,
try

http://timewarp6.cjb.net

Remember not every game works and they can be a pain to set up but nearly
every good site has a forum where if you get stuck you can ask for help and
advice.....

Good luck and have fun hunting.....

[pointers to C64/Amiga emulators snipped]

Thanks a lot, man. I'd completely forgotten about the UAE project and written
it off as vaporware years ago. That one is going onto my Linux partition as
soon as I can tear myself away from GPL for fif*** minutes. :)

Cheers,

I think he meant '88.  I remember the incident but not the year so can't
confirm the accuracy.

Cheers
