T2 broken - What Epoxy?

by Chris Squie » Tue, 13 Jan 1998 04:00:00

My nephew snapped the hard/white plastic shaft that the wheel mounts on my
T2.  Cannot get a reply from Thrustmaster about part pricing.

Anyone know what epoxy (or other substance) that I need to get to glue the
parts back together?

TIA,
Chris Squier (squierac)

BTW - Thanks for the coat-hanger/socket trick for the pedal springs, worked
like a charm!

I a strange suggestion for what kind of adhesive to use.  I would recommend the
stuff that dentists use to repair dentures.  I have used the stuff to fix a
dash on my Vette.  I thought it was a little strange, but it works.  The stuff
is not all that cheap, about $40.

Thanks Matt,

I was thinking of visiting my local body shop / repair center.  The plastic
seems to be the same type used in some autos for mounting clips & other
formed pieces.

Will check out my local dentist.

If you email me your address, we can send you out a new shaft - or any other
parts for that matter.  Just reference what you're looking for in the email.

Thanks,
Alan
