I have tried everything!

The trucks in MTM idle at 6000RPM when I use the T2. Revs to
9000 when I hit the gas. If I use a plain old joystick it works
perfectly... What gives?

I've been on the phone with Thrustmaster, all they say is that
I need to buy one of their ISA slot eating, $30 game ports because
my Pentium 200 system is too fast. Why does the joystick work
perfectly then? Isn't the T2 electrically identical to a joystick?

The T2 works perfectly with SuperKarts, Virtual karts and NFS. Why
not with MTM?

I have done everything mentioned in this group and on the Thrustmaster
web-site including:

- turn on auto braking
- install as custom joystick, 2 axis, 4 button, race ctl
- calibrate till I puke in Win95 and MTM

Anyone else out there running a non-MMX P200 + Asus 97VX +T2?

I have a P200 & a T2. It works fine with all games, Win95 and DOS,
EXCEPT MTM. Microsoft has definetly done something screwy in their
directInput implementation. You'd think the guys who invented the
***y API could do better.

Thrustmaster told me the same stuff.  I say that is ridiculous - my wheel
works with every other game.  So, here is what I did to get MTM to work
with the wheel - perfectly.  From within MTM - control setup - choose
"Joystick" as opposed to "Wheel."
(assuming that you have configured your wheel in the Win 95 "Control Panel
- Joystick" applet).

After choosing "joystick" in MTM - DO NOT CONFIGURE - then set steering to
"Most Responsive" - and you are all set.

        I hope this works.

Aghhh......well, Thrustmaster T2 uses 200k pots!  Most other Joysticks
and wheel pedal assm
use 100k pots.  You may have to buy the Thrustmaster  card :-(
Thats commercialism for you......why use 100k pots when you can flog a
$30 add on.
Grab a fistful of throttle springs as well.....you will need them.

Or better still, build your own pedal/wheel assm!

Check out Wallys World.
