Help: broken spring on T2 gas pedal

by MC » Wed, 31 Dec 1997 04:00:00

Hi there fellow racing-simulator-lovers,

I have a T2 wheel and pedals. Now the spring of the gas pedal broke for the
second time. The first time it was still was under warranty. But now the
shop where I bought my T2 no longer exists.

I read in this newsgroup that it's simple to replace the springs, but my
question is: where can I get these springs? [I live in Holand].

Please help me with some advice.

BTW happy new year.

Many of us have had the exact same problem. Thrustmaster actually changed
the design a while ago to get better life out of the springs.  The best way
to fix it is to get to thrustmasters web page and tell them you need new
springs.  They will send them to you for free!!  What a deal.  It sometimes
takes a while to get them though.  When mine broke I made a new spring from
an old spring I had laying around.  It worked and kept me racing till I got
the new ones.

Here is thrustmasters address:

Good luck,

goto www.thrustmaster.com
they should be able to send you a repair kit.  It may take awhile but  a few
friends and myself have gotten this kit from them.  Included ere some different
cams that so far seem to help.  I havn't broke a spring again--yet.  Good
luck!! and Fast Laps in 98!

Check out Thrustmasters home page. I believe it's www.thrustmaster.com. I
know they supply the springs free of charge in the U.S. Over seas I'm not
sure.
