Springs for T2 pedals????

by Quoz » Sun, 09 Jan 2000 04:00:00

Hi, I've just been to the Thrustmaster/Guilemott page to see about ordering
some new springs for my T2 pedals as I broke the throttle spring.

My problem is it seems they dont ship to Australia and going to the Uk page
shows nothing about ordering parts for people overseas. Anyone have any
idea how I can get a spring kit for these pedals or have an alternate fix
for it.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Regards Al

My gas pedal spring broke some time ago.
I modified it a little and fitted two *** bands instead - works fine.
They brake frome time to time, but then I just refit two new :-)

My friend went through this a couple of months ago.

There is a company in Melbourne who have a shitload of the T2 springs
available. Problem is I can't remember their name. They cost about $6.00
each. They are one of the games distributors.

Anyway if you are serious about getting the springs, send me an email, and
I'll track down my friend & find out who the company is.

Springs for T2 pedals????

I just broke all 4 of mine in my Nascar Pro wheel.  After trying to call for
over a week and coming to the conclusion that Guillemot must have just 1
phone line in, I ordered 2 sets online.  Well, they sent me an invoice for
20 bucks on 12-27 that says delivery in 4 days USA.  Well, it's now
1-10-2000 and no Fu*&$#$ springs.

I went to a local hardware store and bought a piece of 36" round stock.  Put
a 5/16-18 bolt in a vise and wrapped the thing around it and cut it off.
Whalla, new springs. ***s!!  Cost of stock: $.60

Labor - $0

Good luck.  PS, they also had springs for hand clippers that looked exactly
like the ones in the T2 control for 50c each.  I bought some of them just
for the hell of it too.  I have a friend who's got a T2 control and when
being generous don't cost U nothin, go all the way!

Thanks for the info. I received an email that put me in touch with a mob in
Melbourne who sent me the springs overnight. If anyone else in Australia
needs the contact details just let me know.

This is enough - Why don't people know the difference between break and brake?
Is this so hard?  This is a auto simulator forum for crissakes... you have to
read the word brakes a hundred times a night if you read this regularly.

BREAK - IT IS BROKEN AND DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE

BRAKE - YOU PUSH ON THIS TO SLOW DOWN A CAR

Pay a little attention.....

A brake pedal in a T2 is the same as a break pedal. Beleive me I know.
I totally understand T2 owners get confused sometimes.
