How about DirectX 7.0??

by Kees Folme » Wed, 29 Sep 1999 04:00:00

Hello all,

What must I do with directX 7.0?
Install or not?

I have read some messages here and one wrote; it is oke, and the anotherone
has problems.:-((

So I don't know it anymore.
The problems are with the wheels?
I have a Logitech Formula Force and using the USB.
And I love to race GPL. (only GPL :-))

Can I get problems when I install directX 7?

Are there any another problems?

Not a hitch here and I've got a P2-400, 192megs of RAM, MX300 soundcard,
TNT2 Ultra, LWFF on the USB and Win98 latest upgrades.

I like DX7 because finally they made it so you can switch controllers to
different ids easily without add/removing them. Yay!

No probs at all after installing DX7.0.  IMO, most of the problems people
have are due to them not having up-to-date drivers installed.

No problems here. I've tried it with GPL, F1RS, MGPRS2, SCGT, Viper, CMR,
TOCA2, and N3. PII400, 128mg, SB Live Value, LWFF, Creative Banshee, Win98.

Hi Kees!

You may experience the momentary 'not recognized' in the game
controllers panel, as reported by many. No big deal, but since I didn't
see any difference between DX6 and DX7 you might as well not install it.
Or wait for the Logitech 3.30 drivers to see if they've fixed it.
System: LWFF/USB/W98SE.

Nice wheel eh?
