Well being curious about the A.I. I loaded up Daytona and set a 100
lap race.. 42 cars.. To my surprise the A.I. seem pretty racey.. after
20 laps there had been 5 lead changes... one thing I saw that amazed
me was on the back stretch  Harvick was in  2nd Bill Elliot was
running the higher line,, then the 88 car squeezes in between them
both about half way before turn 3, ,he then slightly bumps the 29
which causes Harvick to almost go below the yellow line then as they
approach the turn the 88 gets into 2nd place.. then a few laps later
Jarret gets suffled back to 15th..

Lead changes are no joke at the superspeedways now,, I haven' seen any
pitting yet so I can't comment on whether or not thats still a problem
(bunching up and wrecking while entering the pits) these guys seem
pretty competative..(atleast with themselves)

while writing this there have been 3 more lead changes and its only
lap 26th

Hats off to Papy, I'd say finally the A.I. at the superspeedways are
really doing it !!  Kudos for the track tutorials as well, very well
done hopefully setting a trend that other driving sims will follow..

I don't know about online, though.  Blocking has always been a problem
online, and unfortunately due to the performance at Daytona last week, I
fear that online blocking is going to be on the rise because it will be seen
as 'cool'.

They won't remember the bad end-results of the blocking last Sunday :(

I just wish they would draft with you more, and not shuffle around
quite as much as they do.  Granted in N4 they were all over the place,
but they still tend to try for a pass when they have neither the momentum
or the help (=drafting buddy behind them) to have a chance to pull it off.

And they STILL pile up behind slow cars in the turns, not swerving into
the high groove-c'mon this is something which was in N1 and >still<
isn't fixed?!?
The 'draft cones' seem much narrower now, in that if you pull out of
the draft train they will end up roaring right past you.  But you can stay

with them if you get door-to-door with another car that is in the draft-
IOW the cone still needs some more narrowing...
