Is it just me? because Sears Point seems to now be a disaster with the AI
failing to take the final hairpin at Sears even at 90% and lower.

Cheers

You race against the AI Dave ? :-)

Just ask Achim, he had an evil encounter with the Pace car there, so
something seems to be wrong, I've yet to race against the AI myself
though, pre or post patch

Doesn't sound like I'm missing much.

Hi Dave,

can't really say much about the AI in general, but have a look at my
'Pacecar on Steroids' thread a few messages further down :-)

Can't comment on Sears, but they've screwed the AI at Talladega. The
AI cars now seem to do a brake check in turn 4 every few laps, causing
huge wrecks. Was in an online racing with a friend last night....just
he and I and 40 AI cars. Took over 30 minutes to get past lap 10
because of these problems. We've ran the same session many times
pre-patch. So it's clear this is a patch issue.

Papyrus seems to have lost control of the AI situation (including the
pacecar) since Nascar Racing 4.  N3 had a steady and pretty robust AI.

I think they have now become sentient, and are acting on their own and
revenging themselves from all the years of suffering those poor AI cars had
against us the humans :)

That would suggest that at some point Papy has actually had good AI in
their releases....hmmm.....:-)

I was not, I repeat NOT, involved with making any of the AI prior to the
GPL -> N3/NL converter, so I take no responsibility for that...:-)

Yeah, it was weird some times, and especially at.....that airfield
circuit, man I'm getting old, my memory has started to go already

Ok, this a thread too important for those racing against the AI to let
it deteriorate in the usual banter, sorry

So Papy, what did you do to the AI and when will you be fixing it ? :-)
