Has anyone been able to get 3DFX N2 running under Win98 using Fat32?

Thanks,
Jim

I was using Fat32 before installing Win98 and couldn't run N2 with 3DFX.

Fat32 is not the issue. I'm running Win95 OSR2 with FAT32 and everything
works fine.  I've successfully run N2 with both a Voodoo and a Voodoo2
card.  Don't forget, it's just a beta, and betas are not guaranteed to
work for everyone.

Chances are that your 3dfx manufacturer is working on a new driver to deal
with Win98 problems. New drivers were released for my Thriller3d V2200 board
yesterday.
Check your card manufacturer's web site daily.

Same configuration here, and I have no problems.

Believe me I understand your point. I just downloaded and install new drivers
released today for my son's Stealth II V2100. I think the reason that the
Monster 3d drivers haven't  been updated yet is because it is a secondary card
used for 3dfx only. If your monster card is in-op you can still run your pc on
your main display adapter whatever it is.With all the display adapter problems
I've been reading about since Win98 was released   ( just a week ago ) I'm sure
the various manufactureres have been scrambling to deal with the main display
adapter problems first. I still think you'll see something soon.
Fire off some E-Mail at Diamond about your problem.  " The squeaky wheel gets
the grease " .

I am running windows 98 with fat 32 enebled and I am able to run the nascar
racing 2 game in the 3dfx mode. Except I just get frozen up somewhere in the
game (actuallyany 3dfxgame) for some reason. Of coarse, this is still using
the win98 beta build 1721.3.

No, no, no....it's a scientific fact that any hardware driver over 4 months
old is obsolete!!  So what if it works perfectly?  Why be on the internet if
you can't download new drivers and completely futz a tuned, working system?

That's true, rreved, but with everybody else releasing new drivers, it just
seems a little strange that Diamond hasn't followed suit.....OUCH....my
flame-proof body armor is failing!!
