Need help w/N2 Joystick in Win98

by Casey N Bro » Tue, 20 Oct 1998 04:00:00

I have a new, 400MHZ from Gateway2000 with Windows 98 and a Sidewinder 3D Pro.
I have went through the sound test ok w/no error messages. When I load Nascar2
from the Windows Icon, everything appears OK, but when I try to calibrate the
joystick, the game will not "take" the input I am giving. It is as if someone
is continuously holding the joystick in a hard left turn. Then when in a race,
the car will drive itself wildly into the wall. I have tried fiddling with the
Sidewinder "Profile Editor" thing in windows, but to no avail. If anyone knows
of settings, drivers, patches, etc that may fix this problem, please help.

Thanks in advance
