GP3 No dual axis pedal support (Full wearz version)

by hotdo.. » Sat, 22 Jul 2000 04:00:00

I just tried the full wearz version of GP3 , and it doesnt have dual
axis support for pedals on my MS Wheel, its exactly like the old GP2

Anyway after trying the wearz version I have decided to cancel my
order for the full version.

I know wearz is a bad thing with this group, but im glad I tried the
full version rip as it gave me a chance to see what it went like on my
Celeron 450 FPS were ok graphics are not all they could be but Ai
is better than F1 2000, but the no seprate axis support for wheels is
a big let down. Its a lot like Gp2 just sort of updated.

are you the same type of guy that steals automotive test vehicles and then
wont buy it because its a slung together piece of crap? How can you possibly
compare an unrealeased product with  hacked up, incomplete, stolen software.
You must be Bill Gates junior. Oh, by the way, you could at least learn how
to spell warez before putting your opinion. Ifree.co.nz ???..Is that a free
ISP??? Wouldnt surprise me if it was. If you know that we are honest, hard
working ppl who can wait for a fully licenced product, why did bother
posting it here...next time try this newsgroup>>> rec.whiner.warez

So what? Don't know about New Zealand, but here in the UK practically
everyone has a free ISP account (though unmetered connections are
*finally* stuttering out of the blocks). They've never had a
particularly negative image here when used by private individuals.

How can he possibly state there is no dual axis support or anything else, if
he is running hacked, incomplete, software ? Opinions are one thing, facts
are another. Dont give me a book with half the pages in it, and then expect
a full report on its content. Inuendo and heresay, the way of the warez...As
for the "shit for brains" comment, ill laugh it off. After all, its the
smallest words that come from such a NARROW mind.

Unbelievable that anything that even pretends to be a sim...let alone
something from Crammond...lacks split axis support in the year 2000.

Here's hoping version 1.00 is a few notches back from the real release
version.

Marc.

thus spoke:

Yes, but the MS Wheel uses RZ for the brakes. GP2 does not have
support for that axis. Does GP3? As I remember GP2, it only supported
JoyA X/Y and JoyB X/Y. If that's all GP3 supports too then just what
are they smoking? And I hear there are no "other" car sounds just like
in GP2. What? After 4 years they couldn't even add other car sounds?
Think I'll be passing on GP3 if the above is true.

I use the dual axis of the MS Sidewinder FF gameport version in GP2 with the
following settings:
Steering on Joy A Hor
Acc on Joy A Vert
Brake on Joy B Hor

You must use control driven calibration when calibrating.
