I'm not sure Stu is talking about split-axis pedals here. They wouldn't
have to change a mold for that anyway, it's an electronics and software
issue. I think he is talking about changing the physical dimensions or
location of the pedal, and maybe he misunderstood the original question.
At any rate, I've talked with ACT Labs on the phone, and gotten email
from them confirming that they have the I-force drivers and that the
drivers work with the Force RS. They are in the process of having the
dual-axis support added to the ACT Labs version of the drivers.
FYI, the RS gas and brake pedals each have their own potentiometer,
and each potentiometer is wired separately. The signals are either
split or combined in the cartridge. I would hope that new drivers
for the regular RS will be released with dual support soon.
