Can someone explain to me how, on the Best Laps screen, you can have 3
different times? In other words, my best lap overall is better than my
best lap in practice which is better than my best lap in a race.  Isn't
a best lap EITHER in practice OR a race?  (I should add that these laps
are indeed for the same track - Monza)

Also, in training mode, I've beaten best overall time on this screen,
but it doesn't register as a Best Lap.

Do I need to SAVE my best laps for them to show up on the Best Laps
screen?  And is Training mode not the same as "Practice" under Best
Laps?

Thanks for any help on this, and I hope it wasn't too confusing.

In no particular order...

No, "practice" times occur during practice during the "single race" selection
while "Training" is ,of course, a selection by itself.  A best overall time
would include any best lap run regardless of play mode while the practice and
race lap records would only occur during a single race rather than training.

Nope

At the top of the Best Times screen you'll notice a heading that may say "All
Cars" or perhaps a marque name like "Lotus" with a couple of selector arrows
underneath.  Perhaps by clicking the arrows and selecting different cars you'll
find your missing times.  I use two different driver names (after that Trophy
Girl misunderstanding at Spa...) and you have to go through "Player Info" and
use the selection arrows under the mug shot to access different drivers if you
have that situation.  You'll get a seperate "Best Times" table for each driver.

Uhh, same here.  :-)

If the poster is referring to the Best Lap time that is displayed on the
track information sheet, this is based on either the practice sessions
or race session and not during training sessions.
