Saw and played the Sega Rally game at an arcade, and I was wondering if
there is a good Rally game available for the PC.  I understand there is
one coming out on the Sega Saturn system but I'm looking for a PC game.

Thanks much,
Wholi

Not much out there in the PC world.  I saw a demo of the Staturn
Sega Rally and it looked really good.  since Sega is porting many of it's
titles to the PC I suggest you get a good 3d video card that supports the
Sega ports and go for the Sega Rally.  The Diamond Edge?(oh and a Pentium
with mega Horsepower will help too.  Or you can spend 300 on a Saturn and
60 for the Sega Rally.  dang but that looking better and better.

Hello,

You may try the rally mode in the need for speed, it's quite realistic.

Rumor has it according to the Sega home page that there is a possibility that Sega

Yes, Rally on the Saturn is an amazing game.  The way the car handles
is especially good, and requires a fair amount of skill (quite
unlike most other driving arcade games, that tend to be pedal to
the metal all the way).

The only Rally Simulation I know of on the PC is Europress' aged
Network Q RAC Rally.  This game was released back in 1993.  Some
of the graphics look pretty (lots of textures), but the handling
model is absolutely terrible (unplayably so).  It's also bug
ridden, and very prone to crashing on just about any machine. So,
in short don't buy it!!

*But*, there is some positive news on the subject (and I haven't
seen this mentioned anywhere yet).  A friend of mine in the leisure
software trade tells me that Europress are hard at work on a sequal,
which will be released sometime next year.  Let's just hope they
get it right this time.

There is a software program called Network Q RAC Rally
published by Accolade. The graphics are reasonably good and the
driving sim is "so-so", but it does have a pretty realistic
model concerning car damage.  My biggest problem playing this
sim is that it's quite hard not to hit all the spectators
standing on the side of the road.  I'm not sure how old this
software is, but there is a sticker on the box with a special
offer that expired 5/31/94, so that gives you some indication.
