comments I've heard are unfair, ...
"I wouldn't even try GPL with a joystick and using
buttons for throttle/brake, but I can easily handle SCGT with that
configuration....."
Not knocking your opinion of the game Chris since I've only played the demo
a bit with a game pad (wheel in the shop), but lets remember that these are
modern race cars and that they are going to be easier to drive than the GPL
cars, lets remember that long learning curve doesn't equal realism. To make
a drastic example if we had a Ford Taurus sim, we should be able to jump
right in a drive it naturally (assuming we have real life driving
experience. The fact that it doesn't take 3 weeks to complete a lap at half
speed (hyperbole :) ) doesn't make it inferior to GPL. I hope none of you
are expecting NASCAR 2000 (or is it 3) to be nearly as hard to drive as the
Grand prix cars, lets face it they are easier to drive.
Again I'm not debating the actual merits of either game, I'm just reminding
everyone that we can't expect the modern racing games to be as difficult to
drive as 60's GP cars, according to papy they were the one of the most
challenging of all time.
