N2003 (TPTCC) multiplayer problems

Friends and I are having problems connecting with each other using N2003 and
any of its mods - we just can't find each other using our IPs ! Anyone had
a similar problem ? If so what to do to fix ?

TIA

First we have to nail down a few points.   Are you all using a fully patched
version of nr2k3?  You all should have v1.201 installed.  Next, you should
avoid the 'Race on Sierra' option for now.  The host may have to reconfigure
his game's internet connection to use the proper ip.  Once the host has his
game properly setup, then he just has to send his ip # to the others.  They
will enter it in the proper box and then should be able to connect.
If the host has a firewall or has a LAN then the sim may not correctly
identify the proper ip# for the netcard that connects the host to the
internet.  that is what the 'configure by a different method' option is
there for.
