If you use the TPTCC sounds do you not have a spotter?

If you're using Johns player picker program, just copy the "spcc" folder in
the "sound" folder over to the "sound_tptcc" folder.

I still hear mine (as well as the modded one I recently switched
to).  I'd like to see one however optimized for road racing (I'm
tired of the guy constantly warning me of cars "going slow"
in upcoming hairpins).

If you reduce the frequency of spotter messages, that should go away.
I think!

Or in my case "your going too slow, why don't you just pull it on in"

I'm using the TPTCC sounds, didn't use the player picker, and I still get the
spotter.

In your situation Eldred, if you went back and now ran the Winston Cup cars,
they would have the TPTCC engine sounds.   Which isn't bad, just not what
some users are used to.  So "IF" you want the natural Cup car sounds when
running the original nr2k3 and also have the TPTCC engine note, you need to
use John's player picker and install the TPTCC mod to use the PP sound
option.   And even then you still need to copy the spcc folder over into
your tptcc/sound folder(for the pitcrew/spotter).

I actually prefer the tptcc sounds over the original cup sounds. Of course
my favorite sound pack before the tptcc sounds was the one with the gear
whine added to it so that may be why.

Hmm, where is that whine. I'd love to add that to the sounds.

I'm not really sure. I followed a direct file link from the Seirra boards. I
should have it saved off somewhere. IIRC it was some kid and his dad or
uncle that made them.

I liked it even better in N2002 when you could tap the pace car under
caution and have your spotter insult you... broke the boredom of
cautions.

Of course, you'd need to be at the front of the line to do this...  :-(
