What's changeable in ICR and ICR2 ?

Is there a FAQ or other document that summarizes the facets
of ICR and ICR 2 that are changeable?  I know there are a
variety of utilities floating around to change things, but I
have never run across any sort of document that describes what
and how.  Does it exist?
