No way to export setups from ICR to ICR2???????

Having talked to the beta testers, I can tell you that no, the setups
from ICR1 will not work the same when imported into ICR2.  It's a whole
new ballgame of chasing down the new 'ultimate setup'.

Why would you want to export setups that are based on a totaly different
physics model?  The car handles much differently with the speeds up and
the grip down. I'd suggest learning the new car.

: We will all have to re-learn simulated IndyCar racing with version II, but
: when
: you get into it, and put some time into your setups and driving line, etc., I
: am confident that you will appreciate the work that Papyrus, and yes, me, put
: into it.

I agree with you totally.  At lease we can carry over our knowledge of
the tracks and racing lines.  But we need to go back to the garage and
learn a few more tricks.  It's true in real Indy Racing.  Everytime they
change things they have a lot of work to do.  Happens to even the most
experienced drivers and teams.  Even Penske had a tough year.

Thank you Papyrus!!!

p.s. personal to Jim --  Looks like you just live across the river from
me.

Plus, if it was exactly the same, then it'd be no fun!

Absolutely!

Must be in Portland, eh? Feel free and email!

<<Also, try copying your NASCAR\tracks\ directories over
to the ICR2\tracks\ dir and run a race at Pocono--it is DEFINITELY a
cool track!>>

Actually...
     1) You could use the same setups as ICR1, but your car will *not*
respond the same anyway. ICR2 cars behave much more in line with an actual
Indycar... much more realistic. And...
     2) Pocono was originally and Indycar track anyway, so I'd imagine
it'd be fun! It's three turns were modeled after three different tracks, I
forget which, but I think IMS was one of them! Looking forward to playing
this some more as well as having hopes of an IMS expnasion pack...
