Stick with the Indycar 2 DOS version.
I have both, and took the Win95 Cart racing of my hard drive.
It basically bites.
The color palettes are different so most ICR2 addons, tracks, and what
have you wont work with Cart Racing and not many people are making
Cart only addons.
Also the replays in Cart racing are NOT full screen..
I spoke to a programmer about Cart Racing and he said due to the
limitations of DirectX that the replays can not be full screen (cough
bullshit cough)
Trust me, stick with the DOS version.

Of course, the non-programmmer always thinks he knows better.  It very well
may be that at the time CART Racing was rereleased that version of DirectX
being used had limitations which made it hard to do replays full-screen.
DirectX has, in its history, had limitations galore.

And just what makes you think I am not a programmer?
If your going to fight, at least know your opposition  ;)

CART and ICR 2 are interchangeable. IMHO the DOS version is superior
to the Windows version, which can act pretty funny on some systems.

Unfortunately the All American Sports series re-release of CART that
they are selling now ONLY has the Windows version on it. No DOS and no
rendition support.

As far as I know, all of the add-ons for ICR2 work great in CART.
