Well, really it's quite garbled, nothing more than static.  If I set the
number of sounds to 16 I never hear anything.  When I set it down to 3 I
sometimes hear a gear shift or a crash.

Config is:

Win98
P2-450
Sound Blaster Live
Diamond Voodoo 2

I've installed the latest SB drivers.  Could it be the 3dfx drivers?
Clues, anyone?

Also, I drive around Watkins Glenn for about 1 human minute at what
seems to be a frightening fast-forward pace and the pit board says
something like 3:40.
