I have a Creative Sound Blaster 16 and when ever I use my GPL sim I get
a static noise in the background.  It is not the wind sound that others
have talked about as I can detect that in addition to this static
sound.  It is very annoying and I would love to hear from anyone who has
an idea of what could be causing this.  Thanks in advance for those who
respond.

1. Location of patch to cure static in GPL...lots of noise in sound.
