I just picked up Logitech's FF wheels, and although awsome...I find it
certainly more difficult to drive.  Do I need to give it time and get
used to it?  Or do most of you guys use non ff wheels?

TIA

I've had my FF wheel (Force RS) for a few weeks now, been playing GPL.  Just
recently I decided to try it without the force and I think I like it better
without force feedback.  It's a little easier to drive without having the
forces acting against me.  Anyways, that's just my opinion.

Can one adjust the amount of force in wheel?

As you go through the corner, naturally the steering wheel is harder to
turn as the tire *** wall is trying to snap back as tire maintain the
grip on road.  When tire lose the grip and the tire sidewall snap back,
then you ll feel much lighter in force from steering wheel so you know
your tires are losing grip so you have chance to correct by adjusting the
slip angle of tire to get grip back.  Does FF wheel with GPL work this
way?  (it would be neat if software can display the current slip angle
while racing...)

If so, then it would be helpful for me to practice through winter to get
ready for real SCCA Formula 500 racing starting next March. :)

What is the best FF wheel for any price?

Now that I've used mine a little bit...I think it is a worth while
addition.  I noticed that w/ SCGT as you enter a high speed turn (w/ a
lot of load), the steering does feel heavier.  Also, NL will exhibit
the same feedback...and when the tires go away you'll feel less
resistance in the turns as you turn the wheel.

Way cool.

Bradley,

Your missing the whole point of FF.
