NR99 DOS Sound Problems

by Roger Tregelle » Tue, 17 Aug 1999 04:00:00

I am trying to get the sound to work in the DOS
3DFX version of Nascar Racing 99. I need to be able
to use this version for IPX Multiplayer *** only.

My system is as follows:
Gateway G6-450 with Integrated Sound
64MB RAM
13.5 GB HD

Device Manager says for a Sound Card:
Creative SoundBlaster Audio PCI 64D

I have run the "soundset.exe" utility first.
It says I have a "Ensoniq Soundscape Stereo"
The Address is: 330
The IRQ is: No Sound
The DMA is: 1

When I run the program I can barely hear the
music for the introduction movie. When I get
into the game and start to race all I get is
feedback noise through my speakers! Without
the sound I can't hear my engine, or any of
the other cars or my spotter. What can I do?
PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE!!!

Thanks in advance!
