Periodically the sound drops off to a barely perceptable level for about 5
seconds and then comes back.
Anyone else experience this phenomena?

I'm running Win'98, Voodoo 2, Sound Blaster 16

Many people have this problem on many different types of sound cards. It's a
known bug, and I doubt it will ever be fixed. The best thing is to always
run the Dos-enablers, not the windows version.

NR99 sound fade

I started having this problem after installing the latest 3DFX reference
drivers for my Voodoo 2.  Prior to this, I did not have this problem. DOS
mode is not an option since I'm running a MS FF wheel.
