SCGT HELP!!!

OK, I am either ignorant, a retard, or both.  I started a career mode,
but I keep running out of gas.  I see in the manual that I need to go to
the garage to fix this.  I see no garage.  The manual doesn't tell me
where to go to get to the garage.  It says I must have "allow
modifications" on.  I have it on in quick race mode.  I see no such
options menu in career mode.  Am I really dumb or something??  I would
REALLY appreciate it if someone could tell me what I'm messing up.

P.S.  While picking up SCGT today at MicroCenter, I noticed that GPL is
now selling for the same price as "Extreme Bullriding".  It's the first
time I've ever laughed out loud in a computer store.  :)

I am just a retard.  2 minutes after that post, I found the answer to my
problem.  Now I have another one.  :)

Can you adjust the fuel/tire wear ratio in career mode??  I think the
computer is trying to be cute and make me run out of fuel on the last lap
every time, no matter how much gas I have in my tank at the start of the
race.  Has anyone else had this problem??

From info screen, drag your  mouse pointer down to the bottom of the
screen. Another menu will pop up. Click on "Garage".
There is a slider for fuel amount under the "Misc" tab.

I don't know why they made that menu a pop-up, it's not like it takes
up valuable screen real estate by covering up other info...
