gpl patch & frame rates

Like so many of you I was getting a solid 36 fps in gpl ver1.0. When I
installed the patch,my frame rates actually increased. Every once in a while
I would see the magic number 40!!  At the time I was using a T2.

Today I purchased a MS FF wheel. And after installing it,my frame rates
decreased to a low of 22,but running by myself at Monza I still got fps
34-6,except passing the pits where the fps would fall to around 27fps.

So at least for me,the frame rate problem is certainly related to the FF
issue.

Hmm, I run the same settings for GPL 1.1 as 1.0 - I got 36 Solid in 1.0,
but with the same settings in 1.1 they fluctuate between 31-38. Even at
standstill!
Only mod I did was the steering "hack" line in the core ini.
This makes it pactically undriveable :(

I have same results :(  Try running a full field (which I am assuming you
are not if you got solid 36 fps even in the pits) and use the sample
core.ini and you will likely see the warping/slow motion effects we are
talking about.  When I eliminated all communications, client and server
sections from the core.ini, things have almost returned back to
normal--probably to the level you are describing with the strange
fluctuations.  Even before doing that, going down to a 5 car field greatly
reduced the problem.

Marc.
