I just downloaded the GPL demo, but firstly I notice it refuses to load
up in 3DFX mode. I get the impression this is to do with my Rush card.
Secondly, in software acceleration mode the game runs at about 2fps on
my P200. Is this just how the game is in this mode or what?
Dammit, I wish it'd work in 3dfx mode :(

On my P200mmx,32edomegs, with a Diamond Stealth II I got very smooth frame
rates...Is there a frame per second counter anywhere?? Awesome
Gpl 3dfx does work with my pure 3d. I have a 200mmx, w/32meg ram and the
frame rate is still very very slow. From what i've read in the read-me file
they recommend 64mb ram. However, there is a lot of potential for one hell
of a sim.
Seem to recall setup instruction indicating Voodoo Rush not supported.
Works beautifully on P2 300 with 64 MB and 3dfx (Monster 3d). I must admit
I'm pretty impressed so far, now if only I could learn to stop spinning into
the spectators.....

I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but it *is* your Rush card. Readme
says unsupported in the demo :-(
I have p233mmx with Thriller 8meg and Pure3d. Great framerate with either,
with everything on. Using the Thriller though, 800X600 with AA looks
awesome. I do have 64meg though. Tried it without 3d very slow.

It hauls on my P233 with 96 MB ram and Monster 3dfx. I want this game so
bad. Sierra has not made it available for preorder.

What you need to do is slow down for the corners ;)
When I play with the GP Anglo-American car it take the corner about the middle
of second gear or a little better.

RTFM dude. The readme states that Rush is not supported.

Hey, when I download a new sim demo I don't waste my time looking at
writing.

I'm running a K6 233 and Stealth II--I get glassy smooth frame rates in
800 x 600 and perfect in replays as well. This sim is
INCREDIBLE--cannot wait for the final release--and I am slobbering at
the thought that Papyrus has 6 months to get NASCAR3 done.
