nascar in Win95 help

:  I'm hoping someone help me resolve my problem. I've been running
: Nascar2 by booting into dos. No problem. I tried another install from
: Win95. Program installs fine, but when I try to run it, or configure
: the sound card, I get "Contention. sound card in use". I also have
: the same problem with Quake. I stiil have dos 6.22 around, plus an
: autoexec.bat and config.sys file lying around. ( both are pretty "bare
: bones") Not sure if I should get rid of the 2 files, plus my dos 6.22.

First DON'T get rid of DOS 6.22!  You never know when it will come in
handy.  It's still the safest way to flash your motherboard's BIOS.

I think you may have sound card "contention" problems if you leave your
real mode drivers in the config.sys & autoexec.bat for your win95 boot.
Try taking them out and see if this helps.
