hmm... i assume you've tried calibrating your wheel in the GPL options menu?
Sorry if this was an obvious thing to point out, don't know of anything else
if it's fine in all other games

I was having this problem recently.
Eventually I deleted the controls.cfg file in my players/player_name
directory, recalibrated the wheel and pedals in Windows, then
restarted GPL. You have to calibrate in the same way as when you
first install the game, allocating axes and so on, but it worked
okay for me.

Anyway, worth a try as it creates a new controls.cfg and it could be
that your old one's corrupt.
