I have heard that you can begin braking with more stability by keeping your
foot on the gas before entering a corner and I have found this to be true.
I often get of the gas for a second in the lotus before braking to allow the
car to stabilize and braking without lifting this doesn't seem necessary.
Also, getting off the brake with about 25% throttle seems to allow you to
avoid engine braking on the rears and take a corner harder after braking.
But take the parabolica at monza for instance, what do you do? I've been
going 100% throttle right into braking, stabilize the braking to impending
lockup, lift throttle, continue to stabilize, downshift, then start going
about 20% throttle and maybe 10% trailbraking. Does this sound right?
Comments appreciated.
