How to use separate axis in GPL?

by . » Wed, 24 Mar 1999 04:00:00

I have unchecked the box "Map forces from Y axis to X axis" in game
controllers in control panel. When I run GPL in the calibrate
controllers option it still shows steering left and right on axis 0
and brake and throttle on axis 1!
Can I use separate axis in GPL with a MS Sidewinder FF wheel?
If so how can I do it, and what are the benefits anyway?

Any info appreciated as I am desperate to go around Monza under 1:29
at least once.

Many thanks.

You need to create a "profile" for GPL using the sidewinder software. Go
to the 2nd tab (I think) where you can select wheel & pedal range and
check the separate (or split - not at my home computer, right now) pedal
option.

Be sure to activate this profile before starting GPL.
