Make a backup of drivers2.txt before you edit it, but that's the file... it's
in each cars subdirectory you have. There's a bunch of numbers in there, first
few are chassis type, tire, number. The 4 groups of two, 3-digit numbers are
the values you want. I forget the order right now, but it's something like
horsepower, handling, aerodynamics, aggressiveness.
The higher the number the better except for aero (lower the better). The two
numbers are low and high limits for a randomized value.
You can alter these to make your favorite drivers better, or in my case, make
them all relatively equal so there are different cars up front and they tend to
race a little harder that way too.
hope it helps.

Hit F9 to access pit info options,
Hit ENTER so that it reads - DO NOT REPAIR DAMAGE
Enter the pits to have major repairs done like a new wheel.
Hopefully you will leave the pits and not have lost a lap.
Hit F3 to disable having your tyres changed
Reenter the pits to have the bodywork repaired
By doing the repairs in stages you can minimise the chance of going
down a lap.
Works for me...sometimes.
>RA>One of the F keys toggles the 'repair damage' option... I forget which one

>Hit F9. That brings up the report of what your pit crew will do. Simply hit
><return> to turn off the repair damage option. Its a toggle, so if you
>change your mind, just hit <return> again.
