Papy was going to model flat-spotting as far back as GPL (1998) but they ran
out of dev't resources.  Ditto brake wear.

I only got ADSL a month or so ago so I've always missed out on these big
mods before now. I've never tried FIAGTV3 and never commented on it.

From memory, the only games/sims I've ever openly slated were GP4 and Warm
Up.

I tried GTR after reading great reviews about it here, racesimcentral and
other forums, but I don't pay attention to whether it was a gpl'er writing
or not.
I bought Midtown Madness, SCGT, Rally Trophy and NR2002 for the same
reasons, and GPL too in about November '98. I've lurked here for years ;-)

If you try to put people in boxes you'll always make wrong assumptions by
generalising.

Sims come in boxes, not the drivers.

Of course I was, I'm a fairly reasonable bloke and compare like with
like if at all possible, I've hardly driven GPL after they started to
patch it as I find Formula cars utterly boring and I've yet to install a
single 3rd party add on or track, aside from a couple of David Noonan's
early creations, which however doesn't mean I haven't been following
what's being going on in that part of the community and screen shots and
videos certainly paint a pretty picture, and btw, the patches that has
come from Papy, have they actually changed the handling of the cars ?

I know they introduced a higher minimum ride height, which didn't affect
me as I never used low rider setups anyways, but other than that

It's still on my HD as I admire the tech bits of it, and every so often
I take an Eagle for a quick spin around Zandy, but other than that....

RC2000 is good, after a gazillion patches and physics tweak to finally get
some feeling out of the car.

Same could be said about F1-2002 also <G> :)

You're going to moan to DGF about a company *providing* patches?  ;)

Frustration !.......... that nothing better has come along yet. The new graphics has updated GPL
to present standards.
