Dual-axis in SCGT: What's up?

by UnserFa » Thu, 06 Jul 2000 04:00:00

Please help.  I have a TM NASCAR Pro and can get SCGT to work with separate
axis.  The thing is that I don't have nearly as much braking power.  Everything
else works fine in GPL and MGPRS2.  I just would like to know what's up and
maybe how could I fix this.

God bless,
Loren

Dual-axis in SCGT: What's up?

If I hold the brake pedal down partially when I start the game, then my brake and
gas work great. If not the game doesn't even see my brake.

Dual-axis in SCGT: What's up?

Actually Simon, I run SCGT (1551 patch) with split axis all the time. I know
for sure that it works with the Ferrari and Force RS. I don't remember if it
works with the LWFF, but I think it did. The only difference with the LWFF
is that it uses the R axis in split axis mode (X,Z &R I think) instead of
the usual X,Y,Z axis. This won't work in some games like Midtown Madness,
but as I recall it worked with SCGT.

As for the braking power (original poster), I've never noticed a difference
in  split or combined axis, unless you're dragging your foot on the gas
while braking.  Seems like it takes about 50 feet to come to a complete stop
from 140mph.

Dual-axis in SCGT: What's up?

No mysterie here, SCGT doesn't work with ANY controllers with split axis.
You have to switch back to combined before running the game.  Unless theres
a third party patch out there that fixes the problem then you and me are
both stuck with it.

Yup, split axis works great with my LWFF. I'm running with the 1.551 patch
as well so maybe that is the fix that you need. I don't know about the TM
NASCAR Pro wheel though.
hopefully you can get it working
